Itinerary:
DAY 01 SINGAPORE / CHIANG MAI
- CITY TOUR - WAT PHRATHAT DOI SUTHEP - ROYAL FLORA RATCHAPHRUEK (
Khantoke Dinner)
- Meet on arrival and commence on City Tour - drive pass the City's Moat,
Chiang Mai is one of the few cities in the world which has a well
preserved moat and make a stop at The Three Kings Monument, impressive
statues of King Mangrai, King Ramkhamhaeng and King Ngammuang. Next stop
at the Chedi Luang Temple, built by King Saen Muan Ma in 1391,the
original height of the chedi was 90 meter tall but was partly destroyed
by an earthquake in 1545 and it now stand at 60 meter tall. Drive uphill
to visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, a sacred temple popular to the Thai
people and tourist. From the temple ground you can have a panoramic view
of Chiang Mai city. You may choose to climb the more than 200-step naga
stairway or take the tram service to the temple. Thereafter, visit the
Royal Flora Ratchaphruek (Royal Flora Garden), this beautiful garden was
to commemorate the 60th anniversary of H.M King Bhumibol Adulyadej's
accession to the throne. View the majestic Royal Pavilion, which is the
symbol of Ratchaphruek Garden. Tonight Khantoke dinner will be at the
Chiang Mai Cultural Center. Sit back , relax, enjoy your dinner and
watch a colourful cultural performance. After dinner, experience the
lighting of beautiful fireworks.
DAY 02 CHIANG MAI - MAE TAMAN
ELEPHANT CAMP SAFARI - BAAN YAPA HILL-TRIBES VILLAGE -
MAE SALONG (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Spend a memorable day at the Mae Taman Elephant Camp. Watch trained
elephants at work, play football, dancing and even do painting all under
the command of the mahout. Take an exciting half hour elephant ride
across the shallow Mae Taeng River through jungle path and lush
landscape. Enjoy an ox cart ride back to the camp lobby - truly a life
time experience. After buffet lunch in the camp, take a thrilling bamboo
raft down the Mae Taeng River, passing through beautiful river banks
scenery. Disembark at the pick-up point where your transportation awaits
you for transfer to up the mountain to visit the Baan Yapa Hill-Tribes
Village. Four indigenous tribes lives in this village, namely the
Long-necked Karen Tribe, the golden rings on their women necks are
symbol of this hill-tribe ; the Lahu Tribe, the females wear very large
earring ; Pa Long Hill-Tribe, the women wears very colorful sarong, a
wide silver waistband and black rattan amulets for protection from evil
spirits and the Akha Tribe, the women wear intriate head-dress of
shinning silver coins, colourful bead and shells. Then drive on to Mae
Salong, a small community of former Kuomintang Army from Yunan and this
mountain settlement is best known for its tea plantation. Overnight at

DAY 03 MAE SALONG - MAE SAI -
OPIUM HOUSE - GOLDEN TRIANGLE - BOAT RIDE TO LAOS DONSAO ISLAND -
CHIANG RAI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Take-in the cool refreshing mountain air and enjoy beautiful unspoilt
lush mountain scenery from the villa. After a hearty breakfast, stop at
the town for you to buy the local products and also sample the delicious
local snacks. Photo stop at the impressive mausoleum of General Tuan
before we descend from the mountain to Mae Sai, Thailand's nothernmost
town for a sumptuous Thai buffet lunch at the popular Wang Tong
Restaurant. After lunch, take a stroll along the main street shops and
stalls which usually precious such as jade, rubbies and attractive local
handicrafts. You may also wish to take an optional tour across the
border to the Burmese town of Tachilik which is at the other end of a
small short bridge. Proceed to visit the Opium House where you can view
interesting displays depiciting opium dens of the old days. Take a short
walk to the majestic giant statue of the Golden Buddha and nearby are
beautiful Thai Buddhist structures for photo taking before proceed to
the Golden Triangle, which sits at the meeting point of the three
countries, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Then, take a boat ride to Laos
Donsao Island, visit the local market which sell inexpensive handicrafts
and clothing. Checkin at Chiang Rai Rimkok Resort or similar class
DAY 04 CHIANG RAI - WAT RONG
KHUN - MAE KA CHANG HOTSPRING - SAN KAMPHAENG HOME INDUSTRIES -
CHIANG MAI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- After an early breakfast, take a leisurely scenic drive to Wat Rong Khun
(White Temple), this beautiful ornate and delicate white stuccowork
temple is made and designed by the famous Thai artist, Chalermchai
Kositpipat. Drive on to Mae Ka Chan, a hot spring town, soak your weary
legs in concrete trenches fill with hotsprng waters or buy a basket of
egges and boit it yourself in the bubbling hotspring pools. Thereafter,
visit San Kamphaeng Home Industries, make stops at Bosang, a rustic
village famous for making of colourful umbrella, the cotton & silk home
industries, Gems Gallery and Highland Bee Farm. Tonight dinner at local
restaurant and after dinner visit the night market or the sat/sun
market.
DAY 05 CHIANG MAI / SINGAPORE
(Breakfast)
- Bid farewell to Chiang Mai as you will be transfer to the airport for
your flight back to Singapore
